  • You can sign up for a membership online or in person at the reception.

    If you sign up online, you need to:

    • Select the location where you want to pick up your membership card

    • Choose your membership type

    • Fill in your information

    Your membership becomes active immediately after registration.

  • Cancellation of your membership can be done through your online profile or by email to medlem@boulders.dk.

  • There is no binding period for Boulders memberships outside of promotional campaigns. You can cancel at any time with a notice period of the current month plus one month.

    If you sign up for a discounted promotional membership, there will typically be a binding period of 3 or 6 months.

  • No, but you can purchase a day pass at the reception and get the full amount refunded if you sign up for a membership on the same day before leaving. Contact the reception for more information.

  • There are many ways to get started. We recommend joining a Crash Course or a Fundamentals class.

    It’s not necessary to start with a class, but it can be a great way to ease into climbing—and an excellent way to kickstart your social experience.

    Many people start alone and quickly find a sense of community in our inclusive climbing culture.

  • If you still have unused punches on your punch card but are ready for a membership, you can exchange it for one. To do so, send an email to medlem@boulders.dk.

    Or, gift it to someone who deserves it.

  • Yes, you can freeze your membership for 1-3 months at a time, up to 3 times a year, for a fee of 49 DKK per freeze. You won’t be charged while your membership is on hold, and reactivation is free. Freezing cannot be activated during a binding period.

  • As a member, you save 50% on class bookings. Joining a class is a great way to make new connections and gain new knowledge, skills, and exercises to enhance your climbing abilities.

    You can choose from a variety of classes at all levels. Classes typically consist of 3 × 90-minute sessions with up to 10 participants.

  • The routes are color-coded, making it easy to find ones that match your skill level and track your progress. It starts with green/yellow/orange beginner-friendly problems and progresses to blue/purple/red/black for more advanced challenges.

    The system is designed to be simple and intuitive for everyone.

  • The experienced route setters from Handmade Routesetting visit each gym at least once a week, often more. This means there are always fresh and exciting routes for you to tackle.

  • We offer a wide selection of organic barista coffee, hot chocolate with whipped cream, tea, beer, soft drinks, and snacks—all at friendly prices from local suppliers.

    Our staff are trained to craft delicious and flavorful barista coffee.

  • Yes! Late Night Boulders is our popular evening event where we turn up the vibes with fun new challenges, a “beer boulder” where you can win a beer or soda, and a dance-friendly playlist. It feels like being at an awesome club, but with climbing shoes on, solving problems with friends and like-minded people, all while enjoying a drink, having fun, and breaking a sweat.

    Late Night Boulders is hosted in select gyms several times a year.

  • When climbing, it’s important to wear workout clothes that allow you to move freely on the wall. Additionally, having a warm sweater and a pair of slippers for breaks is a good idea.

    At Boulders, all climbing must be done in climbing shoes. Climbing barefoot, in socks, regular shoes, indoor shoes, or five-finger shoes is not allowed. If you don’t have your own climbing shoes, you can rent or buy a pair at the reception.

  • At Boulders, we offer climbing for all levels. No prior experience is needed, and you don’t have to come with an experienced climber.

    If you want to learn how to climb, simply drop by one of our gyms, and our staff will help you get started.

Are you new to bouldering?

At Boulders, we're experts in helping new climbers get started. Start by watching the video, grab your training gear and come down to one of gyms - and you're good to go. We have something for everyone, whether it's your First visit or you've climbed many times before.

You don't have to be able to do anything special! Strength and agility will come as you go. Our friendly staff will help you get started if you need it. 

Your first visit in Boulders

Boulders makes it super easy to get started bouldering - just show up at your nearest gym and bring your sportswear. The system is designed with you, the newbie, in mind. Bouldering can reach a really high and advanced level, but it's especially fun in the beginner grades. The problems in Boulders are coloured, with green being the easiest grade that anyone can do, yellow being a bit harder, orange requiring a bit of technique, and so on - see the grading system here.

Good to know

  • No need to book an appointment (only groups over 10 need to book in advance). Book by filling out the form.

  • You may only climb in climbing shoes. You can use your own or rent a pair at the bar.

  • For Entrance you can choose between membership, punch card or admission ticket.

  • You can come alone or with others - either way, we'll help you get started.

  • Drink a cup of coffee before you start.

  • Warm up for a minimum of 10 minutes.

  • Start with the easiest routes and slowly work your way up.

  • Take your time and remember to use your whole body to climb and not just your arms.

  • Ask other climbers or a staff member for advice or help in solving a problem.

At Boulders, we're experts in helping new climbers get started, and supporting you in getting better and refine your skills. If you want to climb with an instructor and other climbers at your level, sign up for a one of our classes!

CRASH COURSE (DROP-IN)

FIRST TIME?
Your 75-minute introduction to bouldering. Whether you’re brand new to bouldering or have a little experience, you’ll learn the basics alongside other beginners—from choosing climbing shoes to fundamental movements and safety.

Free – excluding entrance fee and shoe rental.

We speak both Danish and English!

No booking required—just drop in.

  • Crash Courses are held on set days and times at all our gyms. Just check the calendar and choose the time that suits you best.

    When you arrive, head to the bar, and we’ll direct you to your meeting point.

    We start on time, so please arrive dressed for climbing or come early to get ready.

    If it’s your first time at Boulders, you’ll also need to sign a waiver. It takes about 2 minutes.

    • Clothes that allow free movement and can handle a bit of chalk dust. Some prefer stretchy sportswear, while others go for outdoor clothing or loose-fitting casual wear.

    • A water bottle (can be refilled at the gym).

    • Climbing shoes, if you have them (otherwise, they can be rented at the café).

FUNDAMENTALS

BEGINNER CLASS
Build a solid foundation of technique and knowledge to get started on the right foot. This 4-week training course is designed for climbers tackling orange routes and experimenting with blue (V1/5).

During the course, you’ll learn about balance, fundamental techniques, route reading, and more! Along the way, you’ll also become part of an engaged community of new climbers.

Duration: 4 sessions of 2 hours each

Participants: Max 10 per group

Price: 500 DKK (excluding entrance fee and shoe rental)

We speak both Danish and English!

  • Fundamentals is for those new to bouldering who want a solid introduction. The class is designed for climbers consistently tackling orange routes but looking for guidance to master blue and higher grades. Even if you’ve climbed blue problems before, you’ll still gain a lot from joining this class.

  • Ja, du kan sagtens deltage alene. Fundamentals er en fantastisk mulighed for at møde andre nye klatrere.

    Uanset om du starter alene eller med venner, er Fundamentals en rigtig god mulighed for at opbygge et netværk.

PERFORMANCE

INTERMEDIATE CLASS
Designed for blue climbers experimenting with purple (V2/5+), this 4-week course focuses on improving technique, projecting, and mobility. Performance is perfect for those looking to strengthen their skills and become part of a strong community where lasting bouldering relationships can be built.

You can expect structured training, practical exercises, injury prevention, and valuable insights to refine your technique.

Duration: 4 sessions of 2 hours each

Participants: Max 10 per group

Price: 500 DKK (excluding entrance fee and shoe rental)

We speak both Danish and English!

Booking required.

  • Performance is perfect for climbers looking to take their training to the next level and gain insights into techniques that improve strength, technique, and problem-solving. The class is designed for those already comfortable with blue problems and starting to experiment with purple. Even if you’ve already climbed purple problems, you’ll still gain a lot from joining this class.

  • Yes, you can absolutely join on your own! Performance is a class where you’ll meet other climbers at the same level, giving you the chance to develop your skills while expanding your network of climbing friends.

MASTERY

ADVANCED CLASS
Over four weeks, you’ll dive deep into advanced techniques, mindset, and strength training. This class is designed for climbers already tackling red problems and experimenting with black (V5/6C), ready to take on their toughest projects yet.

You can expect valuable feedback, fine-tuning of your technique and strategy, and homework exercises in addition to our weekly training sessions.

Duration: 4 sessions of 2 hours each

Participants: Max 10 per group

Price: 500 DKK (excluding entrance fee and shoe rental)

We speak both Danish and English!

Booking required.

  • Mastery is for climbers with solid experience on red problems who have already experimented with black ones. You should have an advanced understanding of bouldering, and it’s ideal if you climb regularly and are dedicated to taking your training to the next level.

    Even if you’ve already climbed black problems, you’ll still gain a lot from joining this class.

  • Yes, you can absolutely join on your own. Mastery is a fantastic opportunity to meet other climbers.

    Mastery is more than just training—it’s a chance to connect with other dedicated climbers who share your passion. Join in, share experiences, and become part of a strong community.
