Bouldering for kids - What to do on a rainy day?

When the rain is pouring down and summer vacation plans in Copenhagen, Odense or Aarhus are disrupted, it's time to think creatively. Why not try a fun and exciting indoor activity that both challenges and entertains the kids? Bouldering is the answer!

What is bouldering?

Bouldering is a form of climbing without ropes, where you climb walls that are up to 4-5 meters high. It requires no previous experience and safety is top notch with thick mattresses covering the floor. This makes bouldering an ideal activity for children of all ages. In all gyms you will also find children's walls for the little ones. The children's walls are approximately 2 meters high with grips specially adapted for children's hands.

Why bouldering?

  1. Active and healthy: Bouldering is a great way for kids to be active. It strengthens muscles, improves balance and coordination and is a great way to burn off energy, especially on a rainy day.

  2. Fun and challenging: With varying levels of difficulty, kids can challenge themselves and gain a sense of achievement every time they reach the top of a climbing wall. Seeing their own progress is both exciting and motivating.

  3. Pure coziness: In all Boulders gyms you'll find a cozy café with soft sofas and hot chocolate, juice, ice cream, nuts, chocolate and lots of other things you might want to eat after burning off some gunpowder!
