Overview of the levels of difficulty

With the new design, we have made it clear that the levels of difficulty overlap. This is a deliberate tactic to make it easier for you as a climber to strive.

You probably know it yourself, once you've completed a route of the next difficulty level, you've hit the ground running and have the courage to try more. It helps to keep your motivation high and to get out of your comfort zone and try a route you would normally find difficult. In Boulders, there are climbers of all sizes with different abilities, and it's obviously impossible for route builders to screw problems that are equally difficult for everyone - that is, difficulty levels are subjective and you shouldn't be intimidated by the color. A problem should not be seen in relation to its difficulty, but as an invitation to fun and games. And you'll get stronger along the way!
