Good practice for climbing competitions
There can be a lot of climbers in the hall for the competitions.
Especially BlocParty which is the most popular and coolest competition of the year and is just around the corner.
👍 Here are some tips to make qualifying as nice as possible for everyone.
🫶 These points also apply on regular days with many climbers.
👉 Give space to your fellow climbers. Try one attempt at a time and let others join you when you've made an attempt. If you fall off the problem early on, it's of course okay to try again right away.
👉 Make room for others by standing away from the wall when you're not climbing.
👉 Get off the mattress when you take a break.
👉 Help others get to the problem. Not everyone is equally good at getting to the wall when there are a lot of people. Look around and help when you can.
👉 Get your bearings! Some of the problems intersect with each other, so familiarize yourself with the course of the problem and other climbers before you start.
👉 Brush your holds before and after your attempts. Grips quickly become saturated with chalk and rubber, so it's good manners to help maintain friction!
Thank you for helping to make BlocParty a great experience for everyone!
See you at the sends!
