Rules for kids and youth teams

How to sign up

  • Registration takes place via boulders.dk/boernehold and on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Registration is only valid once payment has been completed. Non-members pay in two installments, here registration is valid after payment of the 1st installment.

  • Confirmation will be sent via email after registration. If you have not received an email, it may be due to an error in the email address or it may have ended up in spam.

  • Participants from previous seasons have priority for re-registration. After that, new registrations will be accepted. The number of seats may therefore be limited when registration opens.

  • If the class does not reach a sufficient number of participants, it will be canceled and payment will be refunded.

  • Re-enrollment is also on a first-come, first-served basis.

Practical info about class

  • Information about class start, times and contact persons will be sent in a start-up letter via email to the provided email address.

  • class does not give access to climbing other than for classes. If you want to climb before classes or continue climbing after, you need a membership or day pass.

Payment options

  • Non-members: Payment is made in two installments. 1st installment is paid upon registration. 2nd installment is paid in the café at the first class. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that the second installment is paid. Failure to pay may result in exclusion from the course without refund until payment is completed.

  • Members: The full amount is payable upon registration. Membership must be active throughout the season.

  • Please note, the child must have an active membership throughout the season to use the membership price. If membership is canceled during the season, the rest of the team price will be charged immediately. It will not be possible to continue in the class until payment is complete.

  • Payment must be made in advance of the course. Payment must be made no later than the 1st class.

Trial lessons

  • Trial lessons are offered on selected class, which are not yet full at the start of the season. Trial lessons are arranged in writing via hej@boulders.dk.

  • In order to attend a trial lesson, the child is required to pay the day entrance fee on the day of the trial lesson.

  • If, after the trial class, it is desired to register for the class, the daily entrance fee will be refunded and the class price will be charged instead.

  • Trial lessons are only by appointment via email with the Boulders team leaders.

  • If you have any further questions about the terms for trial lessons, you are welcome to write to us at hej@boulders.dk

In case of cancellation

  • If a student is unable to come to class, they should contact their teacher directly. Find contact details in the start-up letter.

  • If a teacher has to cancel and a replacement cannot be found, we will inform you via email and/or text message.

  • We reserve the right to cancel up to two classes without compensation. In case of multiple cancellations, replacement lessons will be agreed upon.

  • Substitute hours can be placed on any day of the week and information will be sent by email.

Holidays and public holidays

  • The season generally follows the school holidays, so if you're off school, you're also off climbing. The same applies to public holidays. For Monday and Thursday teams in the spring season, this will often mean that hours are made up at other times due to Easter, Whitsun, Ascension Day, etc.

When signing out

  • In case of withdrawal, we try to give the place to another student. If the seat is taken over, payment for the remaining classes will be refunded. Tuition will only be refunded when the seat is filled. Otherwise, no refund will be made.

  • Sign up directly to the office by email: hej@boulders.dk. It is not enough to just sign out to the teacher.

  • We encourage our students and parents to communicate in a timely manner with teachers and/or the office with questions or comments about teaching and pedagogy. Often doubts can be resolved with Open dialog.

  • Please note that unsubscribing from class does not affect any membership. If you wish to cancel membership, you can do so in the child's member profile.

Liability in case of damage

  • Upon payment, the parent/guardian accepts our disclaimer and confirms that the student uses our facilities at their own risk. Your acceptance is valid for the entire season.

  • Boulders recommends that all students have accident insurance that covers climbing.

  • Boulders does not accept responsibility for personal injury or loss of personal belongings in the climbing gym.

safety

  • Boulders has high safety requirements to protect both students and other climbers in the gym. It is a requirement that all students comply with our Code of Conduct. If it is assessed by the instructor that a student is not able to follow the rules, the student can be expelled from the class.

  • Bullying, violence or threats against other students or teachers will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the class.

  • We expect parents/guardians to take responsibility for supporting their children in showing good behavior and respect for both instructors and teammates. In case of behavioral challenges, we will engage in a dialogue to find a solution together.

  • In case of expulsion, the remaining payment will only be refunded if the space is taken over by someone else.

Images and video

  • We occasionally take photos and videos during the lessons for use in marketing our kids' classes and kids' camps at Boulders. The material can be used in newsletters, on social media, on Boulders.dk, on partner sites and in printed materials in gyms.

  • When registering for children's and youth classes, we ask for separate, active consent from the parent/guardian to take and use photos and videos. This consent is completely voluntary and has no bearing on participation on our class.

  • Parents/guardians can withdraw their consent at any time by contacting us at hej@boulders.dk. If consent is withdrawn, we will immediately remove images and videos featuring the child from our platforms and marketing materials.

  • Images and videos are stored for a maximum of 2 years or until they are no longer needed for the stated purpose, after which they are deleted.
